Today, we talk to Willow Digby, Finance Team Lead at Buko Traffic & Safety:
“I began my journey in accounts with BUKO Traffic & Safety (formerly Road Traffic Solutions) in partnership with McArthur Dean Training in May 2023 on a 16-week Traineeship Programme. After completing the traineeship, I progressed onto my AAT Level 2 apprenticeship and started my position as an Apprentice Finance Assistant in September 2023. In this role, I expanded my skills and responsibilities.”
“By November 2023, I took on additional responsibilities and progressed to the role of Apprentice Payroll Administrator. In April 2024, I transitioned into the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk, where I gained further responsibility and developed a deeper understanding of Purchase Ledger operations. After a year of supporting my colleague and helping strengthen internal Purchase Ledger processes, I progressed to my current role as Finance Team Lead in April 2025, whilst studying AAT Level 3 with McArthur Dean Training.”
“Following the companies rebrand from Road Traffic Solutions to BUKO Traffic & Safety, both workload and responsibilities across the department increased significantly. This growth has allowed our team to welcome two new apprentices, giving me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills through training, mentoring, and sharing my knowledge with new team members. Supporting the development of others, while continuing to grow in my own role, has greatly strengthened both my professional confidence and personal development.”
