Steps to Success

So, you are looking to start you career with an Apprenticeship but want to know how far it can take you in your career.

There are basically four key steps which can take you from the Intermediate Apprenticeship (level 2) all the way to a Degree/Masters Apprenticeship (level 6/7)

What are the steps to success you can take with the Apprenticeship, as you progress in your career?

There are four types of Apprenticeship:

– Intermediate Apprenticeships (level 2) are the same level as five GCSE passes and are a great way to kickstart your career in many different areas.

– Advanced Apprenticeships (level 3) are regarded by employers to be the same level as two or three A level passes. They provide an ideal opportunity for an apprentice to progress from their level two apprenticeship and assume more responsibilities within their job role.

– Higher Apprenticeships (levels 4 and above) will help you to move into a supervisory or management role whilst continuing to improve your qualifications. At this level you will gain more responsibility and may be asked to run a small team or manage a project.

– Degree apprenticeships (levels 6 – 7) are offered by universities and other higher education providers. They contain either a full degree or degree-level qualification and go up to master’s level (which is postgraduate).
