Case Study | Lewis Taylor

Lewis works at a company who specialise in manufacturing a range of holiday homes, where he has progressed from a Trainee to a Team Manager. Lewis has a range of responsibilities and, since finishing his Traineeship, has also completed his Level 2 and 3 in Business Administration (and Functional Skills) and is now undertaking an Apprenticeship in Management at Level 3.

I enjoy my job and I’ve learnt a lot since starting here as a Trainee. My role primarily consists of looking after production plans and arranging upgrade packs for customers, as well as being an all-round problem solver!”

After finishing school, Lewis was not 100% sure on what he wanted to do in terms of his future and career and did try college, but found that it was not to his liking. After hearing about the Apprenticeship Programme and McArthur Dean from a friend, he took the decision to leave and soon landed his job as a Trainee.

I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to do career-wise, and to be honest I hadn’t given office based work much thought as I didn’t think it would suit me, but after trying it out through the Traineeship Programme I found that I really enjoyed it, so I’m very glad that I gave it a chance.”
